Children's Sponsorship Program
Since 1998, Pastor Andrey Revtov and his staff have been providing shelter, food and care for the orphans and children living on the streets in Kherson, Ukraine, through the ministry called House of Hope. The good news is that there are fewer children living on the street, for now, but the bad news is Ukraine is in a political and economic crisis and the first people to be impacted by this are the poor, especially children.
House of Hope is launching a Children's Monthly Sponsorship program to help care for the 157 children who regularly come to the day center for food, clothing, tutoring, classes and especially the love of Jesus Christ.
What it Costs:
For $50 U.S. a month, you can provide for the physical, spiritual and medical care of a child. Your gift will pay for the food, clothing, medical care, school supplies, Bible and English classes, computer training, physical education and physical therapy that House of Hope provides. An additional $50 per year would allow the House of Hope to provide birthday and Christmas gifts for your child and special meals for those occasions.
You will receive a picture and biography of your sponsor child and at least 4 letters a year from your child. In addition, you will receive the monthly newsletter from the House of Hope.
What to Do:
Select a child to sponsor from the book that will be at Calvary Community Church, or from the House of Hope website houseofhope.org.ua. You may also contact Jeff and Michele Herwig at miherwiq@vahoo.com to view photos and bios of the children.
Once you've selected your child, send an email to president@houseofhope.org.ua w/ the name of your child and your name, email and contact information. Mail the blue card to Ukraine Children's Fund and wait to receive confirmation from UCAF about your sponsorship. Funds will be sent to UCAF, which is the 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization that provides administrative support for House of Hope here in the United States.
